HP Deskjet Printers - The Print Cartridges Are Stuck in the Center of the Printer


ISSUE: 
The print cartridges are stuck in the center of the printer.
SOLUTION: 
Follow the steps below to reset the printer and return the print carriage to the correct position.
CAUTION: Check for any loose or broken parts in the printer. If you find loose or broken parts, service the printer. 

Check for and remove any obstacles, such as packing tape or materials, that prevent the print cartridges from moving back and forth.
Make sure the print cartridges are in the correct slot and installed securely in the print carriage. 
Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
Check for and clear any paper jam.
Lower the printer cover.
Connect the power cord to the back of the printer and then turn on the printer.
