Ghost/duplicated images with HP Laserjet 1010
( problem id 1010-007 )
I have 2 problems with my HP LJ 1010, as you can see on the following page:
Definitely try replacing the toner cartridge first as that is most likely the problem.
The ghosting is usually because there is a problem with the light-sensitive drum in the printer.
Old residue from pages you already printed is 'wiped' off the drum before itâ??s ready for a new page.
The drum in this case (as with most HP printers) is in the toner cartridge so replacing the cartridge also replaces the drum.
